Meet Our Team

Holt is a Georgia Licensed Appraiser who focuses on commercial, industrial, and recreational properties in Middle and South Georgia. He is a 2017 and 2019 graduate of The University of Georgia, where he received his B.S. in Housing Management and his M.S. in Financial Planning. Prior to joining Compass South Appraisals, Holt served as a Commercial Lender at Georgia First Bank. Holt currently serves on the Southeastern Early College and Career Academy (SECCA) Board of Directors, a regional career academy guiding young adults as they transition to college and full-time careers. 

JC is a Georgia Licensed Appraiser who focuses on agricultural and commercial properties in Southeast Georgia. He is a member of the Seven Rivers RC&D, Satilla Cattlemen’s Association, and Georgia Young Farmers. Prior to joining the Compass South Appraisals team, JC was an ag lender with AgSouth Farm Credit, where he worked with realtors, individuals, and investors to facilitate numerous land transactions on both large and small property types. JC received his Diversified Agriculture degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

Jennifer is a Certified General Appraiser in both North and South Carolina. In addition, she is an affiliated member of the National Appraisal Institute and Local Realtors Association. She has been affiliated with Compass South Appraisals since the company was formed. Jennifer is a senior member of the company and has considerable experience appraising many property types, but specializes in improved commercial properties. Prior to joining the Compass South Appraisals team, Jennifer worked for Rhodes Oil Company. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina.

Jameson is an Appraiser who focuses on real estate properties in Upstate South Carolina. Prior to joining Compass South Appraisals, he worked as an intern at Countybank. Jameson graduated from Lander University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Financial Services.

Mitch is an Appraiser who focuses on commercial and recreational properties in Upstate South Carolina. Prior to his appraisal career, Mitch specialized in Executive Supply Chain Management for the automotive and food manufacturing industries. Mitch holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Finance from Lander University.

Thomas is a Certified General Appraiser who has extensive experience appraising a variety of property types, including commercial and industrial properties, as well as recreational, agricultural and timberland tracts. He is also trained and experienced in appraising institutionally owned timberland packages. Thomas is a senior member of the company and the team leader for Compass South Appraisals in Upstate South Carolina. Thomas holds a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology, as well as a Master of Forest Resources Degree from Clemson University. He is a member of the Society of American Foresters and current president of the Abbeville County Forest Landowners Association.

Bailey is an Appraiser who focuses on real estate properties in the Pee Dee and Coastal counties of South Carolina. Prior to her appraisal career, Bailey worked in recreation as a Gymnastics Administrative Specialist for the City of Goose Creek. She holds an Associates in Business Administration.

Brittany is a South Carolina Certified General Appraiser who focuses on commercial, industrial, and recreational properties in the Charleston Tri-County area. In 2024, she received her MAI. Brittany’s responsibility is assisting with the quality control and is a senior member of the company. Prior to her appraisal career, she was a grants manager with the South Carolina Department of Commerce. Brittany holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Furman University, a Master’s Degree in International Business from the University of South Carolina, and is a Candidate for Designation with the Appraisal Institute.

Lauren is a native of Danville, Virginia, who has resided in the Lowcountry for 10 years. Prior to joining Compass South Appraisals Lauren served as a clinical supervisor and administrative patient coordinator for an oral surgery practice.

Billy is a Real Property Appraiser and Registered Forester in Georgia, where he is also a member of the Georgia Forestry Association. Prior to joining Compass South Appraisals team, he worked for the Georgia Forestry Commission as a District Manager. Billy received his Forest Management degree from Auburn University.

Austin is a Certified General Appraiser in both South Carolina and Georgia. He has extensive experience appraising various property types, including improved commercial properties and on agricultural production properties. Austin is a leader in ag production and a senior team member of the company. Austin is an affiliated member of the Appraisal Institute and holds a degree in Applied Economics and Statistics from Clemson University.

Sally is a licensed realtor who serves as Office Manager for Compass South, Inc. Prior to joining our team, she worked at Copper Station Holdings. Sally received her Environmental Science Degree from Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH

Marshall is a South Carolina Certified General Appraiser and a designated member of the Appraisal Institute. In 2019, he received the MAI and SRA designations. He is a senior team member of the company and a member of the South Carolina Professional Appraisers Coalition, where he currently serves as a Board member and Co-Chair of the Legislative Committee. Marshall received his Business Administration degree from The Citadel.

Paul is an Appraiser who focuses on real estate properties in Upstate South Carolina.  Prior to joining the Compass South Appraisals team, he worked as a business lawyer in multiple Atlanta firms, and as a P & L leader for many closely-held businesses.  Paul earned his Bachelor of Science in Management and Technology from the US Naval Academy, served as a nuclear submarine officer, and received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Miami School of Law.
